Standard five Mathematics – New PSLE Format 2024
The Mathematics subject test will have one (01) paper and will be held for 2:00 hours for all candidates except candidates with special needs where their test will be held at 2:40 p.m. The exam will have parts A, B and C with a total of eight (8) questions with 33 elements. The candidate will be required to answer all questions with a total of 50 marks.
Part A will have one (1) question which is the first question 10 elements from the Action-Specific Competency of
Mathematically. Each element will have one (01) score and thus, the total of marks in this section will be 10. Part B will have five (5) questions; second, third, fourth question, the fifth and sixth with a total of 18 elements of mysteries (Word Problems) from the specific competence of five (5) types. The question of the second will have six (6) elements, each element one (01) mark, question the third, fourth, fifth and sixth will have three (3) elements each
one and each element will have two (02) marks. So, a total of The mark in this section will be 30.Part C will have two (2) , the seventh and eighth questions.
The seventh question will have two (2) elements from the Mastery Specific to using statistical skills to present various information and The eighth question will have three (3) elements from the competence of use shape skills in Mathematical contexts. Every aspect will have two marks (02), thus making the total marks in This part is 10.
